WELCOME LETTER
From The SILC Chair

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Vermont Statewide Independent Living Council.

The Vermont Statewide Independent Living Council, SILC for short, consists of a group of Vermonters appointed by the governor to work at ensuring that people with disabilities live their lives to their fullest potential. We seek to achieve this goal by supporting direct service programs and other initiatives which help make community life more inclusive and accessible.

To learn more about SILC and what we do, you may browse through our website. Our activities and projects are mandated by the Vermont State Plan for Independent Living, a federally approved plan developed and written by council members every three years.

If you have any questions, or if you would like information about becoming a SILC member, please contact us at VTSILC@aol.com or 802-244-5895. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 311, Waterbury, VT 05676.
